This version of our sleep sack has long sleeves and a zipper up the front for diaper changes. The design gives lots of room for the legs inside the sac. Wool is warm and moisture-regulating, keeping the baby warm in the cooler months and cooler in the warmer months. Natural warmth is generated without heat build-up, regulating the humidity and supporting a healthy environment for the skin. Wool absorbs up to one-third of its weight in moisture and, depending on external conditions, can return it to the environment. Synthetic clothes may look the same but do not allow the skin to breathe, accumulating uncomfortable heat and moisture. Unpleasant odours come from bacteria which develop quickly in moisture. Animal fibres, like wool and silk, wick the moisture away by airing; thus, bacteria cannot settle as easily. Plant fibres, such as cotton as well as synthetics, hold bacteria.
