Spanish Roja Garlic Spanish Roja has a history stretching back to the late 1800s, when it was first brought to the Pacific Northwest , making it one of the most established heirloom varieties still grown today. Bulbs have a light purple tint over mostly white wrappers, with reddish-brown clove wrappers underneath. Spanish Roja is known for its good heat and rich flavor, a classic Rocambole character that's earned it a devoted following among cooks and growers alike. Each bulb produces 8–12 cloves.
