Antique 9ct Gold Heart Locket c1880-1900 – Aesthetic Engraved Bird motif

A beautiful antique 9ct gold back and front, heart shape opening locket. It has a hand engraved front in the Aesthetic style and dates from the late Victorian to early Edwardian Era, c1880 - 1900's. The condition is really lovely both outside and inside with no dings or damage. It opens and closes tightly and inside, but often missing, it still has the clip in metal photo frames so you can pop in tiny photos. It is stamped "9ct BK&FT" . To clarify, this item is not rolled gold or plated, it is solid 9ct 375 gold to the front and back, with a base metal frame and hinge to make it stong and durable and with plated clip in photo holders.
