Peculiar Pearl Branch Necklace
One of a Kind Oxidised Silver and Pearl Branch Necklace An intriguing design that was inspired by the world of shadows and strangeness in the film Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children. Eva Green brought that world to life and in particular has a way of playing characters who are eccentric and unsettling and quietly beautiful all at once and it is exactly that spirit I wanted to capture in this design. It's a world where the eerie and the elegant sit side by side. Two large branches curve inward from either side, oxidised to a deep, blackened silver that catches the light unevenly, the way real bark does. They frame the face rather than simply sitting on the chest, so the necklace has a presence when it is worn, almost like a crown that has slipped down to rest at the collarbone. Where the branches meet at the centre hangs a teardrop pearl, smooth and luminous against all that textured metal, the one soft, still point amid the twisting silver. This is a one of a kind piece, made by me in my studio here in Tunbridge Wells, Kent. I think it's the kind of piece that asks to be noticed, worn by someone who is not afraid of a little drama and a lot of character. Partially cast and partially fabricated. Dimensions: Total length to the bottom of the pearl 560mm (22inch), widest part of branch 40mm, Pearl droplet 20mm x 15mm, Half Pearl 3.25mm
