1840 ORIGINAL SOUTHGATE CARICATURE No.1 REFERRING TO POSTAL MATTERS, FINE UNUSED FRONT. A fine unused front only 1840 Southgate caricature No.1, caricature with many references to the postal service and Britannia with her right covered by a patch scattering her messengers. At right a postman is attempting delivery to a man hung from a gallows 'DEAD LETTER' and at lower right a pick pocket is plying his trade whilst a gentleman posts a letter. Front only but a nice clean example. (Ref 143921).
