Vintage Gio Ponti Style Italian Ladder Back Chair with Woven Cord Seat, 1950s

Vintage Italian ladder-back side chair in the style of Gio Ponti, dating to approximately the 1950s. Features a tall, slightly tapered back with four curved horizontal slats, slender legs and a woven cord seat. The frame has a warm wood finish with visible grain throughout. A great lightweight profile that works well as an occasional, desk or accent chair. No makers mark. Dimensions: 15.75”W x 16”D c 36.5”H seat heights is 18.25” and seat depth 13.75” Condition: This piece remains in its original vintage condition with minor signs of wear consistent with age and will be sold as is. This piece is in used-vintage condition. There are scratches, scuffs, dings and areas of worn finish throughout. The woven cord seat has staining and discoloration consistent with age and use. There is a slight amount of movement at some of the joints when the chair is sat in and shifted from side to side; these joints would benefit from being re-glued.
