The MITA NSX Interior Door Handle was developed as a modern alternative to the original OEM door handle assembly. Rather than simply reproducing the factory component, we redesigned the assembly around a combination of high-strength composite materials, machined aluminum hardware, and hand-finished upholstery. The result is a more contemporary interpretation of the original NSX interior while preserving the functionality and fitment that matters. The assembly is designed to work with the original OEM door cable, allowing it to integrate with the existing door mechanism without requiring a completely new operating system. Unlike the OEM handle, which features a leatherette-style texture surrounding the handle area, the MITA design uses a clean, smooth surface. This gives the component a more modern appearance while allowing the selected upholstery and aluminum hardware to become the visual focus. This is intentional and is a natural result of how different materials interact with light. Aluminum has a naturally reflective, metallic surface, while composite and plastic materials scatter and absorb light differently. Because of this, the same nominal color can appear deeper, lighter, more matte, or more metallic depending on the material and surface finish. In simple terms: the color may be the same, but the material changes how your eyes see that color. A black plastic component and a black aluminum component will therefore not necessarily look like an identical shade of black, and the same applies to silver finishes. This is a physical characteristic of the materials rather than a manufacturing defect. Custom Upholstery Choose the finish to suit your interior. Upholstery is available in leather or suede, with both perforated and non-perforated options. The customizable surface allows the handles to complement factory interiors, custom restorations, or more modern builds. Optional Aluminum Door Pull For an even more contemporary finish, an optional aluminum door pull is available. The aluminum component introduces a machined-metal element to the assembly while complementing the precision hardware used throughout the handle.
