An Art Deco engagement ring with tiered shoulders and a collection of old cut diamonds. The feature diamond is a .38 carat Old European cut set in a square head with "photo album" corner prongs. The diamond is flanked by a dozen single cut diamonds in narrowing steppe style groupings down each shoulder: three, two, and one. This tiered design echoes the architectural "setback" style of 1920s skyscrapers—a signature Art Deco innovation where stepped, recessed elements allowed light to filter to street level.
