This Colombian decaf is grown at elevations above 1500 feet, and makes for a smooth and sweet cup. It’s no wonder that the country of Colombia is famous for their coffee production- we’re consistently impressed with the lots we receive from them, and this decaf is no different. If you’re caffeine sensitive and looking for a coffee that still brings all the flavor, this should be your next buy! Excelso is decaffeinated using Swiss Water Processing, a popular and chemical free method in green coffee production. The first step in this procedure is cleaning and hydrating the beans, which expands them with water. Then, using a natural solution called Green Coffee Extract, the caffeine molecules are removed from beans. Lastly, the beans are dried, which makes them ready for the roasting process!
