We cannot stop looking at this ring. The stone is the most magical of pink tourmalines that glistens in pinks, reds, peaches and even flickers of almost purples. This stunning cushion cut stone is new to this ring and we were so taken by the colour of this tourmaline in the older rosey gold ring. With the rise of lab grown stones there has been a real increase in people picking natural gemstones with inclusions. Neither option is "right" or better than the other, it is just a move the natural crew have actively made to ensure that their pieces are recognised as natural. As someone who has always appreciated the natural flaws in gemstones/ hand made jewellery/ beads - this sings straight to my heart. Little totally unique "birthmarks" that give it personality and presence. In terms of structure - as long as the inclusions are not surface reaching the gemstone is as hardy as its perfect counterparts. Held in the most magical vintage setting - we love the multiclaw setting, the open basket and those amazing carved shoulders that reflect the light beautifully and offer the ring such a unique character. Made in that amazing older rosey gold we are smitten by how it picks up the pinks of the stone. It has natural inclusions that you can see which sing to its natural origins. None are surface reaching so it should not affect the strength of the stone.
