CHARACTERISTICS The Branched Oyster Mushroom graces the forests of Europe naturally and typically during the warmer months. It prefers to grow on deciduous trees, especially beech and oak. They grow in clusters, often on fallen logs or trees. They have a unique branched growth, not like their oyster counterparts, setting them apart in their normal habitat. GRAIN CULTURES Once the bag is opened, the spawn must be used and applied to the substrate immediately. You will receive ready colonized rye grain spawn for inoculation on various fruiting substrates, of your choice. This mushroom can easily be cultivated on traditional sawdust substrate, but this substrate does not smell nice. Your spawn is prepared fresh after ordering to maximize on quality. For this reason it may take between 10 to 14 days to produce. Ideally the product should be used immediately after delivery, but, keep it stored in the fridge at 4° Celsius for as per the expiry date given and it will still be viable.
