Mukangu, Kenya - Espresso
Mukangu Factory is situated in the Ruchu sub-location of Kangema Sub-county, Murang’a County, in Kenya’s Central Highlands—one of the country's most renowned coffee-producing regions. The wet mill is operated by the Ruchu Gacharage Farmers Cooperative Society (FCS), which also manages the Ruona, Kahiga, Kamichee, and Ruchu factories. Founded in the 1970s, Mukangu works with around 800 smallholder producers, the majority of whom farm less than one hectare. Alongside coffee, many cultivate crops such as maize and beans to support household food security and diversify their income.
