Zuni Heishi Necklace [SG-571]

A fine vintage hand-carved Zuni fetish necklace. The turtle is prominent here. Many birds and a pair of turquoise bears are also featured. The carving is intricate, detailed jet/onyx/turquoise/spiny oyster shell. Rare purple spiny oyster and yellow shells. A single strand of drilled turquoise heishi is from Blue Gem Mine. Strung on a cord, bench-made silver beads are spaced apart by pinion beads. All of deep patina. Length - 27"
