Kennametal SN159-AP Wide-Entry Venturi Blast Nozzle
The Kennametal SN159-AP is a long venturi blast nozzle with a wide entry and a wear-resistant BP200 SiAlON liner. The nozzle is fully encased in polyurethane and features a 1-1/4" NPSM polyurethane thread. This makes it the most economical version in the SN159 range. When combined with a blast hose with an internal diameter of 32 mm (1-1/4"), the wide entry provides a higher flow of air and abrasive. This can increase productivity by up to 15% compared with a standard long venturi blast nozzle. This makes the SN159-AP suitable for professional and industrial blasting applications where high productivity, low weight and a competitive purchase price are important. The BP200 SiAlON liner provides wear resistance comparable to tungsten carbide when used with standard steel shot, standard steel grit, iron silicate and aluminium silicate. At the same time, the nozzle weighs approximately half as much as a comparable tungsten carbide version and is more resistant to breakage than silicon carbide and standard silicon nitride versions. The nozzle is not recommended for use with hardened steel shot or hardened steel grit. For aluminium oxide and other aggressive abrasives where the longest possible liner life is required, a B159 blast nozzle with a boron carbide liner is a more suitable alternative.
