Craiglee Eadie Shiraz 2021

Craiglee is one of Victoria’s great cool-climate Shiraz names, producing distinctive, savoury reds from its historic Sunbury vineyard. The Eadie Shiraz is made from fruit grown on the southern side of Jacksons Creek, on a site named after the family who first planted vines there in 1863. It is a slightly deeper, more plush expression of Craiglee, while still holding onto the elegance, spice and savoury detail the estate is known for. The 2021 Eadie Shiraz shows blueberry, plum and dark cherry fruit, layered with black pepper, dried herbs, violet, cedar and subtle gamey complexity. The palate is medium to full-bodied, smooth and savoury, with fine tannins, good depth and a long, balanced finish. A beautiful cool-climate Shiraz for roast lamb, chargrilled beef, mushroom dishes, hard cheeses or anything slow-cooked and wintery.
