Water Lily, Plein Air Original Painting

Water Lily - Original Painting on Paper 'Water Lily', This piece was painted 'en plein air', on-site, at Moor Water Gardens here in Port Stanley. There are so many wonderfully colorful flowers to choose from but I picked this one to paint since I loved the bold magenta color of the bloom plus the interesting verigated lily pads around it. I sat down and took a couple hours to capture this one, and I'm delighted how it turned out!!! When painting on site you never really know how it will turn out, there are so many things that can change to alter the course of the painting.
