Dufftown-Glenlivet 8 Year Old 1970s 1 Litre
Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky Distillery Bottling 1 Litre / 75 Proof An old 1 litre bottle of Dufftown-Glenlivet 8 Year Old Pure Malt Scotch whisky, bottled during the 1970s by Arthur Bell & Sons Ltd of Perth, Scotland. Presented in the distinctive black and gold packaging of the period, this vintage release was bottled at 75° proof (43% ABV). During the 1970s, Dufftown was one of several distilleries owned by Bell's, alongside Blair Athol and Inchgower. Although much of its production was destined for blending, a small selection of single malt bottlings was also released under the Dufftown-Glenlivet name, a designation commonly used by Speyside distilleries during this period. This 8-year-old is an interesting example of Dufftown's early official bottlings, produced long before the distillery became associated with the Singleton range. Its traditional presentation, 1 litre format and 1970s bottling make it an appealing find for collectors and enthusiasts of vintage Speyside single malts.
