Constructed of gilded bronze, affixed to a bronze backplate with a period original ribbon and horizontal pinback, maker marked “WEISS & CO., MÜNCHEN”, measuring 44 mm (w) x 36 mm (h), accompanied by its period original presentation case, constructed of red card stock, the lid with a gilt monogram of King Ludwig II, the interior with a padded and slotted black felt medal bed, unmarked, measuring 60 mm (w) x 44 mm (l) x 20 mm (h), in extremely fine condition.
