Colombia Magdalena Wayuu

Colombia Magdalena Wayuu is a washed lot from smallholder farms in the Magdalena department of northern Colombia, grown between 1,400 and 1,800 metres. Roasted medium in Kuala Lumpur, it opens on malt chocolate, brings a soft orange sweetness through the middle and finishes on raisin. A rounded, easy cup that works as espresso, in milk and on filter. Smallholder Farms in Magdalena The Wayuu lot comes from several smallholders in the Magdalena department, in Colombia's north, where coffee grows between 1,400 and 1,800 metres. The trees are a mix of varietals. The cherries are fully washed, sorted to Excelso EP, the European Preparation export grade, and packed in GrainPro for the trip to Kuala Lumpur. As espresso the malt chocolate leads; on filter the orange comes forward. If a shot runs sour, grind a little finer.
