A dense lace floral fills the top and both sides — scrolling stems, large petalled blooms and pointed leaves, all built from fine net and picot detail so the pattern reads as worked thread rather than drawn line. The lower centre is left open, dropping the density away to bare ground. "Brocade" sits small in the bottom left corner in the italic serif with the swash B. A thin black keyline frames the square.
