The Sound of Nouvelle Vague

At the dawn of the 1960s, France’s Nouvelle Vague transformed cinema through handheld cameras, bold storytelling and a new generation of rebellious characters. The movement’s music took on a life beyond the screen, from Jeanne Moreau’s “Le Tourbillon” in Jules et Jim to Pierre Barouh’s “Samba Saravah” in A Man and a Woman. This double-vinyl collection explores the exchange between cinema, chanson and pop, bringing together Françoise Hardy, Serge Gainsbourg, Brigitte Bardot, Anna Karina and many more. Carefree rock meets wistful song in a portrait of a generation embracing social and cultural change.TracklistSide A Jacqueline Taieb - 7 Heures Du Matin Annie Philippe - Baby Love Claude François - Belles!
