Soldano Hot Rod 50 Single Channel 1990s

Up for grabs is a legendary piece of high-gain history: an original 1990s, American-made Soldano Hot Rod 50 single-channel tube amplifier head. Hand-wired in the USA, the Hot Rod 50 is famous for sharing the exact same overdrive circuit DNA as the iconic Soldano SLO-100 (Super Lead Overdrive), delivering that unmistakable, searing harmonic bite and singing sustain in a highly practical and stage-friendly 50-watt format. Unlike the later "Plus" models, this is the purist’s version—a true single-channel powerhouse built for tone purists. It features High and Low inputs, allowing you to dial in everything from a massive, rich crunch to a devastating high-gain roar. Cleaning up the tone is done the old-school way, beautifully responding to the volume pot on your guitar. This amplifier is renowned for its incredible midrange punch and tight low-end clarity, easily cutting through any band mix. Whether you are chasing classic rock crunch, 90s grunge, or heavy modern riffs, this boutique classic delivers the unmistakable Soldano roar without compromise.
