------- A 5 mm-wide × 18 m masking tape made with a rubber-based adhesive. Most commercially available masking tapes use acrylic-based adhesives, which are not particularly compatible with urushi. Masking tapes narrower than 9 mm are also difficult to find. This tape combines a rare rubber-based adhesive with a particularly useful width of just 5 mm. It is especially helpful for kintsugi, allowing small fragments or multiple pieces to be secured while making precise adjustments. It is also convenient for masking narrow or small areas when applying urushi.
