Plumb Done — Fine Art Canvas Edition by Shirley Bales

Plumb Done brings deep plum and smoky gray into a layered field of cream, muted green, coral, and orange. Broad dark passages give the painting weight, while fine lines and warm flashes keep the surface in motion. It feels grounded and restless at once.Ships rolled + unstretched. The size selected is the finished artwork size after stretching. Additional printed canvas is included around the artwork for stretching. Stretcher bars, frame, and hanging hardware are not included.About the WorkBroad dark forms give the painting weight, while fine lines and patterned traces keep it moving. Pale areas create breathing room between denser passages, revealing smaller details with a closer look.Complex HarmonyShirley calls this complex harmony: difference, history, interruption, and beauty coexisting without becoming the same. Layers of color, marks, and revision leave some passages visible and partially bury others; what survives remains part of the story.Edition & Sizes An open fine art canvas edition of Shirley Bales’s original artwork, offered in artist-reviewed compositions.
