For nearly a thousand years, the ravens of the Tower have kept their watch — and legend says the kingdom falls if they ever leave. Now the guardian they have been waiting for steps out of the fog. The Raven Master is Copperfox Model Horses' first-ever Halloween release, and the largest horse we have ever produced in-house: a powerful figure in 1/18 scale, carrying the weight and presence the legend demands. There are 122 pieces total. There were 122 confirmed executions at the Tower of London between 1388 and 1780. Each horse is a soul remembered. The first 50 orders will receive a small token gift, from the Tower itself. The ravens watch from their perch, and are removable with a sliding peg. Each raven is a little different; from shades of the otherworldly, to iridescent highlights. Each model is hand painted, and variations will be expected. The Ravenmaster in gloss finish moves through ember red, midnight blue, black and gold — colours appearing and vanishing as though caught between firelight and shadow. On his hindquarter, a moon and tower emblem glows in the dark: when the lights go out, the Tower keeps its watch. A matte version bears gold hooves and red swirls, marked as if by an older ceremony whose meaning has been lost to time. He is the watcher at the gate. The keeper of the old duty. 400 years of guarding the Tower — now he guards your shelf. And in the red fog behind him, something else is waiting. The Executioner: a zombie draft horse, the skull torn away, crossed axes upon him. He is not the warning, but what follows when the warning goes unheeded. He is the chase piece — limited to just 22 of the 122. This is a Gambler's Choice release: you do not choose your finish. The fog decides. Every box holds a gloss piece, a mat piece — or, for twenty-two collectors, the Executioner himself. The details: Each piece stands approximately 5" tall and 6.5" long, solid printed by myself (my 8th year!) with a proprietary V5 plastic material, the best available. A material sheet for tensile strength testing and heat resistance is available upon request. Each model is hand cleaned and prepped, hand finished and sealed in multiple coats of UV sealant for a forever finish and will not run, crack, bleed or shrink.
