No. Metal cleats are designed for natural grass and dirt, and most turf facilities do not allow metal spikes. For turf and practice, choose a turf shoe or a molded cleat. What is the difference between the 3000 v8 Mid Metal and the 4040 v8 Mid Metal? The 3000 v8 Mid Metal uses a full-length Fresh Foam midsole for an ultra-cushioned, lightweight ride. The FuelCell 4040 v8 Mid Metal uses New Balance's FuelCell foam for a more responsive, propulsive feel. What is the difference between the 3000 v8 Mid Metal and the low-cut 3000 v8 Metal? Both share the full-length Fresh Foam midsole, metal spike outsole and comfort collar. The Mid version adds a higher mid-cut collar for more coverage around the ankle, while the low-cut version offers a lighter, lower-profile feel. Should I choose metal or molded baseball cleats? Metal cleats dig deeper into dirt and grass for maximum bite and are popular at the high school, college and travel levels. Molded cleats work on both turf and natural fields and are required in many youth leagues, so always check your league rules before buying. How much do the 3000 v8 Mid Metal cleats weigh? The New Balance Men's 3000 v8 Mid Metal cleat weighs approximately 460 grams (16.2 oz). How can pitchers keep toe drag from wearing out their cleats?
