VooPoo Argus Z3 Pod Vape Kit

The VooPoo Argus Z3 is a small refillable pod kit that fires when you inhale, with no button to press. It weighs 41.6g, runs on a built-in 1100mAh battery and uses the Argus Multi-Ohm pod, which you turn round to switch between 0.7Ω and 1.0Ω. You'll see it sold as the Argus Z3 pod kit, the VOOPOO Argus Z3 or just the Argus Z3 vape. They're all the same kit. We sell the UK version, so the top-fill pod holds 2ml under TPD rules. The Argus Z3 takes the Argus Multi-Ohm pod, the same pod VooPoo pairs with the Argus G4 and G4 mini. That's the pod that comes with the kit, and we stock it as Argus Multi-Ohm replacement pods in packs of 3. VooPoo's Z3 page lists three more Argus cartridges as compatible. We haven't tried those in a Z3 ourselves, and VooPoo doesn't say which settings the Z3 runs them at. Unless you already own some, stick with the Multi-Ohm pod. No. There are no separate coils for the Argus Z3, because the coil is part of the Multi-Ohm pod. When the taste goes flat or burnt, you change the whole pod. Our guide on how often to change vape coils covers the signs, and they're the same for a pod with a built-in coil. How do you switch between 0.7Ω and 1.0Ω? Pull the pod out, turn it round so it faces the other way, and push it back in. The light turns blue on 0.7Ω and green on 1.0Ω, so you can check which one you're on. In general, 1.0Ω is the cooler, gentler setting and 0.7Ω runs warmer with more vapour. We'd start a 20mg nic salt on 1.0Ω and try 0.7Ω if it feels thin. Swapping takes a few seconds, so it's easy to try both. The Multi-Ohm pod also has a 0.4Ω setting, but the Z3 can't use it. Of the kits VooPoo names, only the Argus G4 can select 0.4Ω, using its button. How do you fill and use the Argus Z3? Open the filling port on the top of the pod and fill it with e-liquid. Don't overfill it. Leave the filled pod for a few minutes so the coil soaks before your first puff. Skipping this is the quickest way to a burnt taste. Push the pod into the Z3 facing the way that gives you the setting you want. Check the light: blue for 0.7Ω, green for 1.0Ω. Inhale through the mouthpiece. There's no button, so the Z3 fires as you draw. Watch the 4-bar battery light and charge it over USB-C when it gets low. How long does the Argus Z3 battery last? VooPoo doesn't publish a battery life or a charging time for the Z3, so we won't make one up. What we do know: it has a built-in 1100mAh battery, it charges over USB-C at 5V/1A, and the 4-bar light drops a bar for every 25% used. That's a smaller battery than the Argus G4's, which is the trade-off for a kit this light. If you vape a lot, expect to charge it more often than you would a G4. And there's no cable in the box. What nicotine strength can you use in the Argus Z3? Any UK strength works, up to the legal limit of 20mg. VooPoo rates both the 0.7Ω and 1.0Ω settings for nic salt or freebase at strengths above that limit, so a 20mg salt is well within what the pod is built for. For freebase, look at our 50/50 e-liquids. Should you buy the Argus Z3 or the Argus G4? Buy the Z3 if you want something light and simple that you never have to press. Pick the Argus G4 if you want the 0.4Ω setting or a bigger battery. The G4 has a button and the Z3 doesn't, and that button is how you select 0.4Ω. Both kits take the same Multi-Ohm pod, so you can move from one to the other and keep your spare pods. What colours does the Argus Z3 come in? There are six. Three are bright: Blazing Orange, Coral Pink and Grass Green. The other three are quieter: Cyber Black, Denim Blue and Pearl White. Some shops call the black one Carbon Black, but VooPoo's name is Cyber Black. Pick yours from the colour selector, and bear in mind stock can vary by colour.
