Rockford Fosgate Power T1 Slim, Gen-2 Sealed Version Rockford Fosgate Power T1 Slim 10 Inch Subwoofer (T1S2-10S) 500 watts RMS and 15 mm of Xmax from 3.01 inches of mounting depth. The T1S2-10S is the sealed-enclosure version of Rockford Fosgate's re-engineered T1 Slim, with a single 2 ohm voice coil, tuned for small sealed boxes and closed spaces like a truck cab. 500W RMS 3.01 in Depth 15 mm Xmax 2 Ohm SVC, Sealed Power-Series Output in a Slim Basket Most shallow 10s trade excursion for depth. The T1 Slim keeps 15 mm of one-way Xmax in a 3.01 inch mounting depth, using Rockford's SYMS motor layout and a high-temperature neodymium magnet to pull the motor up around the voice coil instead of hanging it behind the basket. The cutout is 9.13 inches and the driver displaces only 0.028 cubic feet. This Gen-2 version was re-engineered with more moving mass so it works in smaller enclosures. The dual-wound 2.5 inch voice coil is pure copper on a composite former, with an aluminum spider spacer, a multi-vent pole piece and Rockford's IDHS heat sink all working to move heat away from the coil. The cone is a carbon fiber, PMI and glass fiber composite with an aluminum dust cap, the NCDI polymer surround is chemically bonded to it so it will not dry-rot, and two progressive Nomex spiders keep it centered. S Means Sealed Rockford builds the T1 Slim 10 in two versions. The S models, like this T1S2-10S, are made for sealed enclosures, and Rockford lists vented boxes as not recommended for them. The P models are the ported versions. Buy the S if your box is sealed. The T1S2-10S has a single 2 ohm voice coil, so there is no series or parallel choice at the driver. One woofer presents 2 ohms to your amplifier. Two wired in parallel present 1 ohm, and two in series present 4 ohms. Toward 0.75 cubic feet it settles to 1.0, and a little more air brings it just under 1.0 with an F3 in the mid 30s, which is deep for a woofer this thin before any cabin gain.
