Newly discovered sometime in the 80's, but never confirmed until the recent capture of one early in 2019 off the coast of San Diego. The Yellowtail tuna (Toro yoketailus) is the first known successfully reproducing hybridization of a macro marine fish on record. Dr. Roll, the ichthyzoologist who named the species contacted Amadeo to do the first scientific identification of the new discovery so we're excited to release his illustration as a giclee on canvas.
