Yamazaki Distiller’s Reserve is a non-age-statement single malt. It is crafted from a combination of carefully selected cask types, including American oak, Spanish sherry casks, and a portion of rare Japanese Mizunara oak. designed to showcase the house style of Yamazaki in a more youthful, vibrant form, emphasizing fruit-forward character, gentle spice, and the signature incense-like nuance contributed by Mizunara wood. The nose is fragrant and delicate, opening with strawberry, raspberry, cherry blossom, and honey, layered with vanilla, soft oak, and a subtle hint of sandalwood and incense from Mizunara casks. On the palate, it is light to medium-bodied with flavors of red berries, peach, orange marmalade, and creamy vanilla, followed by gentle cinnamon, coconut, and baking spice. The texture is silky and refined, with a clean fruit sweetness balanced by soft oak tannins.
