AVIELLE Draped Corset Gown - Butter Yellow

I designed this piece to feel light, but still controlled through the core of the body. The strapless version is built on a structured corset that holds the waist firmly, creating a clean, sculpted line through the torso. From there, the fabric is released into soft directional draping that wraps across the hips and pulls inward, naturally enhancing the hourglass shape. The slit is placed with intention, not to expose, but to break the density of the fabric and introduce movement into the front of the silhouette. At the back, I kept the corset visible with a lace up closure so the structure feels honest and adjustable. The draping continues across the hips, adding tension and shape before falling into a fluid, elongated skirt. The fabric moves freely from that point, creating contrast against the controlled upper body. This balance is what makes the dress work. It shapes where it needs to, and releases where it should.
