A strawberry plant caught at its most generous — ripe red berries, a few still green, white blossoms still opening, all on the vine at once. Tommy Mitchell cuts each leaf and berry from wafer-thin copper and brass, dimples the fruit by hand, and paints it the warm, uneven red of a berry picked at the right moment. Potted in aged terracotta, it never goes out of season and never needs picking. Signed by the artist, handmade in North Carolina.
