It allows full customization through interchangeable bells and leadpipes, making it an ideal choice for players who want to build a setup tailored to their personal sound and feel. We present a unique custom project by KGUmusic. This trumpet originally arrived in good technical condition, but with a damaged bell. Instead of a simple repair, we took the opportunity to fully reimagine and upgrade the instrument. What was done: The original finish was completely removed, and all cosmetic imperfections were corrected The trumpet was fitted with a brand new bell by renowned English maker Andy Taylor The original resonator was carefully transferred to the new bell Bell specifications: Diameter: 130 mm (5.12 inches) Material: Red Brass Design: Non-standard asymmetric bend, giving the instrument a distinctive look and response All bell braces remain original Edwards components Additional upgrades: Installed KGUmusic Heavy Finger Rings for improved ergonomics and control Replaced standard screws on the 1st and 3rd slides Upgraded bell and leadpipe screws for easier future modifications and maintenance Installed KGUmusic Light Trim Kit for optimized balance and response Finish & components: Finished in cognac patina with a glossy, clear lacquer for durability and visual depth Equipped with original Amado water keys Leadpipe: D4 (interchangeable – other options available from Edwards) Summary: This customized Edwards Gen X trumpet combines the reliability of one of the most respected modular trumpet platforms with thoughtful upgrades from KGUmusic.
