Monthly Sewing Lessons - Adults & Teens

NEW SESSIONS ENROLLING NOW Ready to learn how to sew — and actually feel confident doing it? This weekly class for adults and teens is designed to give you practical, hands-on experience from day one. You’ll build skills step by step while creating a fully lined tote bag, gaining confidence at the machine through real practice — not long lectures. Each week builds on the last, reinforcing what you’ve learned while introducing new techniques in a supportive, small-group setting. As you work through the lessons, you won’t just leave with a finished project — you’ll have the foundation to continue sewing on your own. Whether you're brand new or building your sewing repertoire, this course sets you up for long-term success. Adults and teens age 16 and up (ages 13 & up with parent enrolled as well) * Note the Saturday lessons are $195/month because class is 2 hours vs. the rest of the days are 90 minutes per class. How does it work? Beginner students will start with sewing machine basics, then work through three foundational, skill building projects - a lined tote bag, zippered pouch and elastic waist pants. Once you have mastered the basics, you can choose your own adventure from our pattern library. We have tops and bottoms for women, men, and gender neutral styles, bags, accessories and more! * Previous Sewing 101 and Sewing from Patterns students, you will be grandfathered into the new structure. Reach out to London who will recommend your next project! How many people will be in the class? We limit our class size to six students to ensure lots of focused attention and instruction. We have Brother sewing machines in the studio, but you are welcome to bring your own. Just let us know in advance. Clothing and larger bag and accessory projects will require fabric and notion purchases from an outside shop. Don't worry, we'll tell you exactly what you need. We have a fabric stash, thread and zippers for small pouches and little experiments. Who will be teaching? London Delicath is the owner of SLOLife Studio & Mercantile, and loves to share her passion for sewing with others. Taught by her mom, she's been sewing since she was a kid, making fabulous Barbie and troll doll outfits. She teaches with kind encouragement designed to get you feeling confident and excited about your own sewing journey. * When you book your course, you will select just the start date, but you will be enrolled for the full month. If you are interested in joining mid-month, just let us know and we will prorate the tuition.
