Shak Jackson – Routes

Shak Jackson continues her rise with a strong three-track EP for Hooj. This record is reminiscent of early rave and breakbeat house. You can imagine sweating inside a warehouse somewhere off the M60, as the tracks blend old school house influences with a modern, groove-led sound. Rolling 90’s basslines, piano hooks and stripped-back percussion, the tracks are designed for proper ‘hands in the air’ moments.
