D-Muck™ is an advanced beneficial bacteria tablet designed to naturally reduce organic muck, improve water quality, and restore healthy pond ecosystems from the bottom up. As part of the EHD-fense® water management system, D-Muck™ delivers concentrated, field-tested and laboratory-tested beneficial bacteria directly to the pond bottom where excess organic matter accumulates. By accelerating the natural breakdown of leaves, dead vegetation, manure, and other organic debris, D-Muck™ helps reduce nutrient buildup, improve water clarity, and create healthier conditions for fish, amphibians, beneficial aquatic insects, and wildlife. D-Muck™ tablets are simply broadcast evenly across the surface of the pond where they quickly sink to the bottom and begin working in the areas where muck and nutrient accumulation are greatest. The slow-dissolving tablets establish beneficial bacteria throughout the pond bottom while providing targeted treatment along shorelines, coves, shallow flats, and other areas prone to excessive organic buildup. Reducing organic muck also helps improve habitat conditions by decreasing the shallow, nutrient-rich mud flats that support biting midge populations associated with Epizootic Hemorrhagic Disease (EHD). Healthier water supports greater populations of beneficial aquatic insects, amphibians, dragonflies, and other natural predators that contribute to a more balanced pond ecosystem. D-Muck™ is safe for use in deer ponds, wildlife water holes, recreational ponds, lakes, and other freshwater systems. The beneficial bacteria are non-toxic to fish, pets, livestock, waterfowl, and other aquatic wildlife when used as directed.
