The Dark Knight (2008) - A Framed Prop ‘Joker’ Dollar Bill
This prop 100 Dollar Bill was used in Director Christopher Nolan’s Superhero Thriller ‘The Dark Knight’ (2008). The 100 dollar banknote includes cryptic lettering & interweaving lines which replace the statutory features. The banknotes were produced for the scene in which The Joker (Heath Ledger) burns a warehouse of money along with Crime Lord Lau & the Chinese Accountant which he has taken hostage. The prop comes professionally displayed inside a bespoke frame with two corresponding stills & a descriptive plaque. The display measures approximately 12x10 inches & accompanies provenance. Originally obtained by a member of the Crew who worked on some of the scenes filmed at the Cardington Hangers in Bedfordshire, UK.
