NoMorePly 6mm Pre-Primed Fibre Cement Board is a high-performance tile backer board designed to strengthen timber floors before tiling, eliminating the bounce and deflection that causes tiles and grout lines to crack over time. At just 6mm thick it delivers rigidity comparable to 15 to 18mm plywood in a fraction of the depth, significantly reducing floor build-up and minimising or eliminating the step transition into a tiled area — a common problem when using traditional plywood as a tile substrate. Unlike plywood, which swells, weakens and rots when exposed to moisture, NoMorePly fibre cement board is fully water resistant and dimensionally stable — it does not expand, contract or change shape even when repeatedly exposed to water. This makes it the professional's first choice for bathrooms, wetrooms, kitchens and any other area where moisture is a consideration. It is also resistant to mould and pests, and is suitable for both internal and external applications. This version comes pre-primed on one side, eliminating the separate priming step before tiling and providing a better bond for tile adhesive straight out of the box. It is fixed to timber subfloors using NoMorePly Mega Strength PU Adhesive and secured with NoMorePly Fibre Cement Screws — 9 screws per board — for a fast, clean installation with no moisture, mess or lengthy drying times.
