Virbac Keratolux is a keratolytic and keratoplastic shampoo for seborrheic skin conditions in dogs - excessive scaling, flaking, greasiness, and odour - in both the greasy (oleosa) and dry (sicca) forms. It actively breaks down and removes excess scale while normalizing sebaceous activity and controlling the secondary microbial overgrowth that accompanies seborrhea. Key active ingredients: Salicylic acid - keratolytic; breaks down and loosens scale and crust Sulfur - keratoplastic and antibacterial; normalizes sebaceous secretion Selenium disulfide - antifungal and antiseborrheic; controls Malassezia and scale Zinc gluconate - anti-inflammatory and sebum-regulating How to use: wet the coat thoroughly, massage Keratolux deeply into the skin focusing on seborrheic areas, leave 10 minutes, then rinse thoroughly. Typically twice weekly for the first 4 weeks, reducing to weekly or bi-weekly for maintenance. Keratolytic shampoos are potent - don't exceed the recommended frequency.
