Ledaig is renowned for its bold maritime peat character, distilled at Tobermory Distillery on the Isle of Mull. For this single cask release, Murray McDavid matured the whisky for 11 years in an American oak hogshead before transferring it into 64-litre Oloroso sherry octaves for its final year of maturation. The smaller octave casks intensify the interaction between spirit and oak, adding layers of dried fruit, warming spice and rich sweetness while preserving Ledaig’s distinctive smoky coastal character.
