MONET'S CATHEDRAL Hand-Dyed Yarn on Buttery Soft DK

This colorway was inspired by one of my favorite paintings by Monet: Rouen Cathedral Facade (Morning Effect). Here's a link to the painting. He spent two years painting the same cathedral at different times of day, and some have called it the ultimate series in Impressionism. The colors include dark blue, medium blue, soft lilac, eggplant, and a bit of chartreuse with a generous amount of speckles. YARN BASE I dyed it on my Buttery Soft DK base, which is made of 45% baby alpaca, 45% extra-soft 19.5 micron merino, and 10% silk, and it really lives up to its name! Please note that this is NOT a superwash yarn. That means it can felt with agitation and changes in temperature, so it should be washed by hand in cool water. On the other hand, it can be fulled.
