Tinaha Brisado
Tinaha Brisado is a dry orange wine from Murcia, made from Malvasia, Moscatel, Verdil and other traditional grapes from south-eastern Spain. Its colour and light texture come from about 10 days of skin contact, the same method that gives orange wines their gentle tannin and deeper aromatic character. The grapes come from old, unirrigated vines on limestone soils on the northern side of Sierra de la Pila. They are picked in two stages: some earlier for freshness, and some later for a softer, riper feel. After fermentation, the wine spends 4 months in handmade clay amphorae, which keeps the style pure and close to the fruit. Expect notes of white flowers, citrus, stone fruit, herbs and orange peel, with a fresh finish. It is an easy wine to enjoy with food, especially dishes with vegetables, seafood, white meat or gentle spices.
