Named for the yellow Yamabuki flower, this technique reflects the colour tradition of kasane no irome (the art of layering colours), and the seasonal shift into spring. A red-tinged yellow, spring's signature shade, sits over a soft green undertone, threaded with hints of young grass and moegi green. The palette is not isolated colour blocking but a continuous gradient, which is the technique's core idea. Under light, it softens further into pale and near-white tones. The brightness here is not loud but instead an interplay of light and shadow that settles into something grounded.
