Mental Health PGx
Finding a mental health medication that works well for you can sometimes take time. If you’re currently taking medication and aren’t seeing the results you’d hoped for – or you’re just beginning treatment – a pharmacogenomic (PGx) test may provide additional information to support your care. This test looks at a number of genes that can influence how your body processes and responds to certain medications. Your results can provide your healthcare professional with additional information to consider when making treatment decisions, including which medications or doses may be more suitable for you. Simple at-home sample collection Collect your sample at home using a simple cheek swab, then return it to the IGENZ laboratory. Samples are processed in batches once the minimum number required for testing has been reached. Turnaround time Turnaround times can vary depending on sample volumes and batching requirements. Important information Pharmacogenomic testing provides additional information to support clinical decision-making and does not determine which medication will work best for you. Your results should be discussed with a qualified healthcare professional before making any changes to your medication. Some samples may be processed by a partner laboratory. All analysis and reporting will be completed by IGENZ
