It was developed as an Italian Tuscan spin on traditional English Bridle leather, blending heavy fatliquoring and surface waxing with a supple Vachetta base. Wax Bloom / Patina Behavior: The defining visual hallmark of Belfagor is its white wax bloom/patina. As the leather is worked or worn, this wax layer buffing away reveals a rich, smooth semi-aniline grain beneath. In cooler temperatures or after period resting, the natural waxes can re-emerge on the surface.
