Orki Flower - Aloe

From the Plèi collection and made entirely from upcycled leather offcuts, the “Orki” flower is a dreamlike plant, reminiscent of wisteria with its eight-tiered conical shape and sloping stem. Its circular petals of decreasing size are made of two types of leather, folded and hand-sewn together, evoking the elegance of an orchid. A slender leaf is stitched along the leather-covered stem. This flower can be displayed in a bud vase, with other leather flowers, or in a bouquet of dried flowers. The name “Orki” is a play on the word “orchid”, echoing the flower which served as the inspiration for the petals in this piece.
