Porsche 911 (996) and Boxster (986) Fiber Optic Amplifier Interface with ISO cable

Part Number: ISO-POR-04A Porsche aftermarket car radio replacement ISO adapter cable with a fiber optic interface for cars with original fiber optic amplifiers. Allows an aftermarket radio to be fitted without cutting the original wiring including turning on and providing sound to the original amplifier. This cable does not retain steering wheel controls or original reverse cameras. This cable is suitable for both 996 and 986 Porsche 911 and Boxster models, the fibre optic amplifier is mostly found on later model cars. These can be identified by having only 4 wires in the yellow connector in the back of the original radio. Models with a traditional style amplifier which this cable is not compatible with have 6 wires in the yellow connector. This interface also provides a speed pulse and reverse output, which are useful when fitting navigation units and reverse cameras. This cable includes a fused power cable that can be run to the fuse box on vehicles without a switched live in the original radio wiring, keeping the installation as close to plug and play as possible without having to cut into original wiring.
