Indigo Dyed Leather Coasters

Starting with Natural Veg Tanned Leather, I dip dye each coaster by hand individually into a vat of natural indigo dye, using traditional methods, and allowing coaster to oxidize into a beautiful shade of indigo blue. The process in long but therapeutic, and the result is gorgeous! Finally the coaster is coated with natural bees wax to protect the leather. Due to the handmade nature of the product, no two coasters are alike. The indigo will crock a bit (indigo will wear off), even though these have been rinsed, and I have experienced very minimal crocking, I recommend not using on white or light colored table cloths. The leather, being a natural veg tanned leather, will darken and develop a patina over time. It's all part of its charm!
