Slow Marine Wet Lay-Up Hardener EpoxyPro EP1530B is a slow-curing marine epoxy hardener developed for boatbuilding, fibreglass laminating and composite marine construction. Designed to provide extended working time for larger laminates and complex lay-up schedules, it allows thorough fibre wet-out and laminate consolidation while maintaining excellent mechanical performance. When combined with EpoxyPro EP1530B, the system produces high-strength marine composites with outstanding adhesion, durability and moisture resistance. Ideal for hull construction, decks, transoms, stringers and large marine laminating projects where additional working time is beneficial. Extended Working Time Designed for large laminates and complex composite projects, EP1530B provides a longer working time, allowing thorough fibre wet-out, accurate laminate placement and reduced stress during fabrication. Ideal for warm climates and larger marine components. Excellent Fibre Wet-Out The low-viscosity curing system rapidly penetrates fibreglass, carbon fibre, aramid (Kevlar®) and other reinforcement fabrics, producing lightweight, high-strength laminates with excellent fibre consolidation and minimal air entrapment. Multiple Manufacturing Processes Suitable for a wide range of composite manufacturing methods including wet lay-up, vacuum bagging, resin infusion, resin transfer moulding (RTM), pultrusion and filament winding, providing consistent results across professional production environments. High Mechanical Performance Once fully cured, the system delivers excellent tensile, flexural and compressive strength, making it suitable for structural marine components, composite tooling, automotive parts and industrial applications subjected to both static and dynamic loading. Ambient Cure with Post-Cure Capability The system develops excellent handling strength after curing at room temperature. For maximum mechanical properties and thermal resistance, a post cure of 70°C for 8 hours is recommended. Wide Service Temperature After full cure, components are suitable for continuous service in temperatures ranging from -60°C to +80°C, making the system suitable for demanding marine and industrial environments.
