Mid-Victorian / 19th Century A True Collector’s Treasure from Mid-Victorian England Elevate your home décor or antique collection with this exquisite pair of genuine 19th-century Wedgwood Jasperware candlesticks. Crafted in 1865, these dark blue “dip” candleholders are a testament to the unparalleled craftsmanship of the historic Wedgwood factory during the height of the Victorian era. Exquisite Craftsmanship & Neoclassical Design Unlike modern solid-color jasperware, these rare pieces feature the highly sought-after “dark blue dip”—a technique where the solid white stoneware body was dipped in a rich, cobalt blue wash before being fired. Each candlestick is meticulously decorated with crisp, white bas-reliefs applied by hand. The intricate detailing depicts elegant classical figures and romantic botanical motifs, framed by a delicate band of leaves at the rim and a sweeping border of scrolling flowers around the base. Authenticity Guaranteed Both candlesticks bear the impressed “WEDGWOOD” maker’s mark alongside the date letter ‘T’, definitively placing their production in the year 1865, well before the 1891 McKinley Tariff Act required the addition of the word “England.” Condition & Details: Condition: Excellent antique condition. The white reliefs remain crisp and high-quality, contrasting beautifully against the rich, deep shade of the blue jasper dip. No chips or restorations.
